We're screening 'Blowup' on Saturday 25th July at 6.30pm in the Blackpool Community, 90 Great William O'Brien Street, Cork.
Thanks to the visual style of Italian maestro Michelangelo Antonioni this seminal psychological mystery thriller about a fashion photographer who snaps two lovers in a park only to discover apparent evidence of a murder in the background of his shots, is also a wonderful document of London’s swinging 60s. It's a film complete with modish models, The Yardbirds live at the Marquee and a groovy score by the young ‘Herbert’ Hancock. It’s also a fascinating examination of a professional photographer at work.
