We're screening '12 Angry Men' on Saturday 28th March at 6.30pm in the Blackpool Community, 90 Great William O'Brien Street, Cork.
Made three years after the introduction of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and against the backdrop of continuing racial discrimination in the Deep South, In the Heat of the Night, starring Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger, was ground breaking for its direct approach to the subject of bigotry in an oppressive Mississippi town.
