‘The Living Memories’ story started in September 2010, through a collaboration between Multimedia Artist Fernando Tunon and the Meelagh Community centre for Travellers, in a project that was seed funded by Cork City Council’s “Community Arts Development Fund” and supported by Cork Community Art Link. The project grew from the idea that the Traveller community in Ireland was mainly documented by professionals who didn’t belong to the community itself.
